LTL – CAT 2021 COACHING

WHY MBA??

So you are out looking for a better career option. You’ve just completed your graduation in Humanities, Commerce, Science or engineering…or any other degree, professional or otherwise and now you will have to land yourself a job. You are aware there is cut-throat competition in the job market out there, and you have to better your chances somehow. LTL is the right place…

A Post-graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) or Masters in Business Administration (MBA) is perhaps one of the best choices you can make. Are you sure you want a PGDM/MBA qualification? You do of course but still let’s see what a PGDM/MBA tag can get you. How to crack the CAT in one go in Udumalpet, we come up with an answer. Following are perhaps the five of the most compelling reasons what a PGDM/MBA can make you:

BETTER SALARY

A PGDM/MBA degree holder stands way above the others in commanding better pay. A graduate from the IIMs or the premier institutes especially get fabulous pay packets.

BETTER SKILLS TO START YOUR OWN BUSINESS

Management schools teach entrepreneurship skills, communication skills and networking skills like no other, equipping students with self-driving tools and know how to make their own start-up business and be their own boss.

BETTER PERSONALITY

The two-year grind in a management institute surely refines the person and enhances his/her personality that makes a marked and noticeable difference from the crowd.

BETTER CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Management graduates have credentials that stand them out, making them better choices of employers.

BETTER CREDIBILITY WORLDWIDE

Obviously, a management graduate comes equipped with knowledge and skills for business and has more credibility than ordinary graduates. Moreover the credentials are recognized worldwide, which is why even Indian graduates get plum jobs across the globe.

And of course you’d like to get into one of the IIMs – Indian Institute of Management – or other reputed institutes- if you can. But for that you’ll have to crack the CAT entrance, or the Common Admission Test conducted by the IIMs the score of which are also accepted by a host reputed management institutes like FMS (Faculty of Management Studies), SPJIMR (S.P.Jain Institute of Management and Research), International Management Institute (IMI), Institute of Management Technology (IMT), JBIMS (Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies) and a lot more. The CAT score is the criteria that decides your entry into the PGDM programmes at IIMs.

CAT PATTERN

But wait! Don’t you think you’d want to know why, how and when they conduct the CAT entrance? And why would you want an MBA qualification anyway?

The CAT is conducted once a year by the IIMs on rotational basis. The pattern of questions in the 3 hour test consists of multiple and non-multiple choice, designed to gauge the aspirants’ ability, skills and knowledge in three areas/sections:

(a) Verbal and Reading Comprehension (VARC) – 34 questions

(b) Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DI & LR) – 32 questions

(c) Quantitative Ability (QA) – 34 questions

The duration of each section is one hour each in this particular order and students cannot switch between sections. Each question carries three marks. Wrong answers in multiple choice questions carry one negative mark.

Scores are distinct in each section and are not correlated. A candidate may score high in one section while in another he/she may not. In all, the score is given in four scales with each section given a percentile ranking and a fourth as the overall score.
